Editing a PDF shouldn't take five steps
Most people editing a PDF today are stuck in the same loop, over and over, for something as simple as merging two files.
PDFPilot collapses this into one click. It reads the PDF that's already open in your tab — or lets you upload one — and takes you straight into the correct tool, skipping every manual step in between.

Every PDF task Stirling PDF supports, grouped so you can find what you need in seconds instead of scrolling a giant list.

Frequently asked questions
Is PDFPilot really free?
Yes. PDFPilot is free to install and free to use, with no paid tier, trial period, or feature locked behind a subscription.
Are there usage limits?
No. There's no daily quota, no file-count cap, and no maximum file size imposed by the extension itself. Any limits you encounter come from Stirling PDF itself, not from PDFPilot.
Does it upload my files automatically?
PDFPilot only sends a file to Stirling PDF when you choose a tool that requires it. It doesn't scan your browsing, and it doesn't upload anything in the background without an action from you.
Does it replace my PDF editor?
No. PDFPilot is not a PDF editor — it's a launcher. The actual editing happens in Stirling PDF's web app, which opens with your file already loaded. PDFPilot's job ends once it gets you there.
Does it work offline?
No. Since every tool runs through Stirling PDF's web app, you need an internet connection to use PDFPilot.
Is it open source?
The underlying PDF engine, Stirling PDF, is open source. Check the extension's Chrome Web Store listing for the current state of the extension's own source availability.
Which PDF tools are included?
All 63 tools in the Stirling PDF catalog: merging, splitting, compressing, converting, OCR, watermarking, page organization, security and permissions, digital signing, redaction, and more. The full list is browsable and searchable in the extension popup.
Is it safe to use?
PDFPilot only requests the browser permissions it needs to detect PDFs and open Stirling PDF with your file. It does not run PDF processing itself, so your files are handled by Stirling PDF's own systems, not stored by the extension.
What browsers does it support?
PDFPilot is built for Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers that support Chrome extensions.
Do I need a Stirling PDF account to use it?
No account is required to use the free tools that PDFPilot launches.
Stop uploading the same PDF twice
Install PDFPilot and get one-click access to 63 free PDF tools, right from your Chrome toolbar.
No account. No credit card. No catch.
